Our Vision
Catechized was founded with a vision to bridge the gap between academic theology and practical Christian living. In an age of information abundance but wisdom scarcity, we seek to provide theologically robust content that informs the mind, transforms the heart, and equips believers for faithful service.
The name "Catechized" reflects our commitment to the historic practice of catechesis—systematic instruction in the essentials of the Christian faith. While modern Christians often lack this foundational training, we believe theological education is vital for every believer, not just clergy or academics.
Who We Are
Dr. Thomas Wright
Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Professor of Systematic Theology with a focus on Reformation theology. PhD in Theological Studies from Princeton Seminary.
Our Theological Perspective
Catechized is committed to historic, orthodox Christianity as expressed in the ecumenical creeds (Apostles', Nicene, Chalcedonian) and the Protestant Reformation. We affirm:
- The full authority, inspiration, and inerrancy of Scripture
- The Triune nature of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- The full deity and humanity of Jesus Christ
- Salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone
- The necessity of personal conversion and growth in holiness
- The communal nature of the Christian faith as expressed in the church
- The future bodily return of Christ and the final judgment
While our contributors come from various denominational backgrounds (Presbyterian, Baptist, Anglican, etc.), we share these core convictions and seek to model charitable dialogue on secondary theological matters.
