Virgin and Child with Saints

Berlinghiero's Virgin and Child with Saints is a compact thirteenth-century tabernacle triptych, centered on the tender image of Mary holding Christ and framed by saints and narrative details. Its gold ground and Byzantine-inflected forms show the solemn beauty of early Italian devotional painting. Giclee printed to order on enhanced matte art paper.
